Rob alahn
Music Director at ECHO

For over 30 years, Rob Alahn has been creating immersive musical experiences, blending global influences with the heartbeat of Las Vegas. As the former resident selector and co-program director at Downtown Cocktail Room, Rob played a pivotal role in shaping the city’s evolving underground music scene. His expertise extends far beyond Vegas—his travels have taken him to Japan, Cuba, South America, and beyond, where he’s absorbed diverse musical styles that now inform his work at ECHO.

At ECHO—Taste and Sound, Rob does not just program playlists—he curates moments. His approach to music programming is deeply intentional, aligning each selection with the time of day, the energy of the room, the events of the world, and even the weather outside.

Rob’s passion for audiophile-level sound experiences makes him uniquely suited for this role. His mission at ECHO is to bridge the gap between music lovers and critical listeners, offering a space where even the most casual listener can hear their favorite song in a way they never have before.

“Our job is to paint a picture for the guest, to take them on a musical journey—somewhere familiar, but also somewhere they’ve never been before.”
